Re: Connecting FPOC Families in Ohio History
In Response To: Connecting FPOC Families in Ohio History ()
You are so correct, Art. And, that's why I have been spending much of my time on my Mother's branch of my family. The unity and continuance of the southern part of Ohio for people of colored is now well recognized by those of us doing serious research. For that reason alone, there's been conversation among many of us over several years to have a meeting with all interest at a central place. Seemly, no one person has taken the leadership necessary to get the "ball rolling." It would indeed, require creative minds with multiple skills to make it work, just as the AA International Genealogy Conference. Is this a subject that could be brought up at this year's OGS Conference. Of course, this is a "Wish List" item for me and several others.
