Carmen, I am very interested in comparing notes with you. Also with any others whose ancestors are from SC and have this Portuguese/etc. legend in their family. I believe if we make a joint compilation of what we know, we might get a line on the truth of how and where our ancestors came into SC, their trail and the names associated with them. It is too difficult to find these facts alone, but together we might just figure something out. Has anyone in your family had a dna test done?
