That was great information. I was wondering because I know some of the Green/Wallace family from Charles City County, VA went or were taken to OH and then returned to VA. My understanding is this was done after they were manumitted because there was some concern about whether they would be allowed to remain in the state of VA.

Oh, I'm assuming that once they were certified free in OH that OH issued their own certificate and took the original certificate.
