Thx so much 4 another piece of the puzzle. I found Horatio with his name spelled correctly living in what appears 2 be a boarding hse with other men. Age is 16 and location is Bertie. It seems that he was counted 2x, once at home and then by employer. I am referring 2 the 1850 US Census.

It is hard to trace him bc he appeared 2 be Indian but may have been half black. He told a story of seeing his brothers dragged off to be sold. He was left bc he did not look black and wore his hair long down his back. I can't seem to connect him to other Weaver families.
