In Response To: Interesting Petitions: Pamunky Indians and FPOC ()
PAR #: 11683619
Abstract: Following his emancipation, Fauquier County native Daniel Warner, about forty years of age, seeks to spend "the remainder of his days" where he had grown to manhood. As a barber in Warrenton, he earned an honest living, and was well established as an honest, industrious businessman.
PAR #: 11683620
Abstract: From his "general good Character," citizens of Fauquier County argue that Daniel Warner should be permitted to remain in Virginia. They realize that such privileges for emancipated slaves should be granted only "with great caution," but in this instance they are certain that no injury to the public would result.
