While preparing a Timeline this week for my ancestor, Samuel Jones, for the first time over a 10 plus period of having certain data, I noticed that while Samuel married Jane Turner in 1815 (children, unknown); and subsequent married Jemimia Betts/Hargrave in 1821 in Belmont County, Ohio, the first two children born to the second wife were:Sugars Turner Jones; and his sister: Jane Ellen Jones. The names,"Turner" and "Jane Ellen" has been cast down through the generations within our family. Could it be that out of love for his first wife, Samuel named his two children with a minor new wife, Jemimia? Just a romantic thought...
