I considered being an indexer. I even downloaded everything that I needed. I just got busy and never followed thru. I find that those indexing at HeritageQuest and Family Search are doing a better job than Ancestry.
I'm originally from Fayette Co., PA so I have a little knowledge about southwestern PA. I'm also researching in Washington and Fayette Co around the same time you are looking at. PA records are pretty limited which surprises me. Guess those folks in rural PA weren't interested in keeping records unless they were affiliated with a church. BTW, I am familiar with the Ross name in Fayette Co. I went to school with some. Oh, Have you tried posting a query on the PA mailing list?
