You posted a while back on ancestors in Rappahannock Co. and Fauquier VA. My relatives are also from both counties in Virginia. Do you know the Tolbert, Tyler, or Lawson family names? All were in Amissville and then some moved to Warrenton, FAuquier County. My father was born in Warrenton in 1919 (James Robert Chichester) to Virginia Tyler (born in 1901 to Laura Johnson Tyler of Rappahannock). Laura's mother was Catharine Johnson (born in May 1845) . Catharine had another daughter Louemma Johnson Tolbert who had at least 11 children, one of which was my father's cousin Irma Tolbert Lawson.
Do any of these names sound familiar to you? You mentioned reunions held in Amissville? That's where all these family members grewup or lived.
Interestingly, relatives on my mom's side are related to the Timbers/Burdens!
