I have also found him on the 1860 census.
I have NOT yet proven it, but I think he is one of the 9 children of Thomas REDMAN=REDMOND, Sr.
My surname dna project has one sample from another of Thomas' sons, so if you matched that sample, it would confirm my theory.
Maybe if you provide more details about your line, I can see if it fits into what I already know.
