Re: Registers - Loudoun and Fauquier VA
In Response To: Registers - Loudoun and Fauquier VA ()
Hi Denise, I am looking for information on my Great Great Grandfather who was listed on the 1850 census as a laborer in Loudoun County VA. He was 25 years old at the time and his name was Thomas William Cross. He was considered Mulatto and it indicates so on the census and also on his emancipation papers. I am specifically trying to find out information regarding his parents. Information passed down through the ages said his father's last name was Lee and his mother's last name was Cross. The Court house in Leesburg has a copy of his emancipation papers which indicates he was emancipated on December 10, 1849. Any information would be very much welcomed. Regina Messages In This Thread
