Re: Celestine LaCoust or LaCoste of New Orleans 18
In Response To: Re: Celestine LaCoust or LaCoste of New Orleans 18 ()
The elusive Celestin LaCoste was referred as being an aunt of a cousin in his civil war pension by a man who knew him while he was living in New Orleans. The man said that Celestin LaCaste owned something called the Fair Grounds. It was a popular horse track during that time period. The person said that she came from around St. Martinville as well. It is also possible that she might have married a LaCoste. So Im wondering if do you or anyone know anything about the persons of color of New Orleans who carried the surname LaCoste? I believe learning more about her could help me learn who were the parents of my 4-th great grandmother and her sister. Messages In This Thread
