Try Dinwiddie County, VA. I'm from Tidewater, but most Goodwyns/Goodwins in that area hail from more central Vigrginia near Richmond. Dinwiddie, my father's birthplace, was a "hotbed of Goodwyn-ness!" My family was mulatto, but appears to have been enslaved.
