Re: Jacob Proctor of Charles County MD

Is your Elisha Proctor the husband to Vesty? So far I haven’t located any document that lists all of Vesty’s (and Elisha’s) children but they may be William, Elizabeth, Johnston, Patterson and Levi. What I know or have surmised from US and Canadian census documents follows:
My 2X great grandmother is Elizabeth Proctor Prisby. She is in the 1891 Census of Canada with her husband Peter Prisby. Also in their household is “Verster” Johnston (75). Verster is listed as the mother of the head of house.
Verster is listed in the Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1857 to 1924 as Vesty Proctor age 65. Her parents are listed as William and Susan Patterson and on November 14, 1872 she married William Johnson. Vesty and William are listed as widow and widower. The Prisby’s, Proctor’s and Patterson’s in Kent County, Ontario who appear related to this family all come from Pennsylvania.
The House of Proctor website shows a Westy Patterson as the wife of Elisha Proctor. Only one son, Johnston, is listed. It says that Westy had two other marriages, one to an unknown Naylor and one to William Johnson (Canadian reference above).
In the 1850 US Census for Hanover, Washington Co., PA a Wheatly Naylor (or Nagler) is married to Richard Naylor (Nagler) and three Proctor children are in their household (William, Patterson and Levi). Peter and Elizabeth Prisby are also in the 1850 census for Hanover. An analysis of the US Census records for 1820, 1830, 1840 and 1850 for Hanover coupled with the Canadian census documents give strong indication that my 3X great grandmother is Vesty, etc. making Elisha Proctor my 3X great grandfather. I'm still pursuing this line.
