Not sure if this will help, but looking at the Carter G. Woodson work "Free Negro Owners of Slaves in the Untied States 1830..... Together With Absentee Ownership of Slaves in the United States in 1830" we find for Louisana:
1) Olivier, Magadelne with 1 slave, 11 in the household and she is between the age of 55-100.

2) Olivier, Adelaide with 4 slaves, 9 in the household and she is between the age of 36-55.

They are found in what appears to be St. Mary's Parish in St. Martin.

A little earlier than your 1850 reference, but it is a possibility.
