My family's succotash includes:

Lima Beans
Corn
Onions
Bell Pepper
Stewed or Diced Tomatoes
Okra

Salt
Pepper
Sugar (pinch)

simmered in either vegetable or chicken broth or cooked in cream

Corn Muffins on the side . . . . .
