quick crisp pickles
My 95 year old Grandmother made a certain pickle recipe which I would like to keep making for the family. It is called "Quick Crisp Pickles" & calls for lime, sugar, white vinegar and here is where I get stumped -- "1/2 box pickling spices (mixed)". Can anyone tell me what to do for the spices? They were allowed to set overnight then the spices added and cooked til crystal clear before putting into jars. They tasted sweet and I just LOVE them! Please tell me how I should do the spices now. She doesn't recall who made the box of spices and when I tried the Ball box of spices, they were nasty. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME PRESERVE THIS FAMILY LEGACY. Messages In This Thread
