My mom always used Bisquick baking mix to prepare dumplins making the batter thick and gooey. Drop one heaping teaspoon full of the gooey mixture into boiling hot chicken stock w/cutup stewing chicken parts, let each dumplin simmer a few seconds before dropping in the next spoonful.

Mmmmmm I can taste it now! 8)
