Re: dressing vs stuffing
In Response To: dressing vs stuffing (bj)
BJ, I grew up in the South (TN) and we had dressing. Yes, it was cooked in a dish, mixed with the giblets. Most of the time it was chicken and dressing. My Mom made the best. She worked at a hospital cafeteria and she was the one who prepared it. When she got promoted to supervisor and did not have to cook anymore, they always tried to draft her to at least tell them everything she put in it. I can eat dressing, but also love stuffing too. I would prefer cornbread dressing or stuffing. I love to taste the sage in it, but not overly in it. Dressing or stuffing is not complete without the whole cranberry sauce. I can eat the dressing/stuffing with whole cranberry sauce and a little side of collard greens and have my meal. Regina Messages In This Thread
