Okra & Creamed Corn

One of my favorite okra recipe's is okra and creamed corn. I grew up on okra. We ate it steamed and fried. A few years ago, I discovered that I liked it with creamed corn or fried corn.

Cut up (in wheels) either fresh okra or frozen okra. Sautee in a frying pan, turning it several times until the okra is partially done. Either prepare fresh corn scrapped off the cobb (juice and all)or a can or two of creamed corn. Add it to the sauteed okra. Add a little salt and some pepper (or whatever season for your taste). Simmer at low heat for about 10 minutes. My mom adds fresh cut up tomatoes to hers.

It taste marvelously good with some hot water corn bread and a glass of iced tea with lemon (not sweet tea - too sweet for me).
