Oh, my goodness (LOL). That's why they died of poor circulation and high blood pressure and such. The slaveowners weren't working off that greasy fried food like the slaves were. There was a recent documentary on cable about the history of BBQ in America. Of course, a lot of time was spent detailing how the slaves in SC, for instance, were charged with this all-day cooking task. They naturally became experts at it, and after slavery, many of them sold BBQ from a cart on the side of the road or at the poor end of town. Can we cook or what! Georgia Walker-Adams
