Here is my favorite Punch Bowl Cake recipe

1 box yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
2 cans cherry pie filling
2 large Cool Whip
2 small pkg. Vanilla instant pie filling
1 cup pecans, chopped

Mix and bake cake mix as directed. Crumble 1/2 of cake into bottom of
punch bowl. Spread 1 package of prepard instant pie filling. Spread 1 can of Cherry Pie Filling and sprinkle Pecans and 1/2 of Pineapple.
Spread 1 tub of Cool Whip over this. Proceed with layering remaining ingredients.

My son made this for his girlfriends family gathering and they reguest it at every family gathering now,
