Nashville, TN - Middle TN Genealogical Society program, Heirloom Garden Workshop will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at FiftyForward Knowles Senior Center, 174 Rains Ave., Nashville, TN (near the fairgrounds). Speaker is Mr. Justin Stelter, Head Gardener at the Historic Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN. He is a member of the American Horticultural Society, the Southern Garden History Society, the American Rose Society, and many more. He is responsible for creating one of the largest historic daffodil displays in the country. He will illustrate his presentation with slides of the various Carnton Gradens and tell us how and when to recreate a flower garden like our ancestors had including those plants that can be grown in containers for today's smaller spaces. Come and get ideas to make an ordinary garden extraordinary!
