The United State Post Office to unveil new stamps of Civil Rights Pioneers, February 12, 2009:

Souvenir Sheet of 6 honoring 12 individuals: Mary Church Terrell, Mary White Ovington, J. R. Clifford, Joel Elias Spingarn, Oswald Garrison Villard, Daisy Gatson Bates, Charles Hamilton Houston, Walter White, Medgar Evers, Fannie Lou Hamer, Ella Baker, Ruby Hurley, NY City.

On February 26, 2009, the United States Postal Service and Jackson State
University will hold an event re: stamps honoring two pioneers of the Civil Rights Movement, Medgar Evers and Fannie Lou Hamer.

This event will be held in the General Purpose Room in the Reddix Building (Old Union) at 10:00 a.m..
