Frazine Taylor will conduct a workshop on "African American Resources at the Alabama Department of Archives and History" at Birmingham Public Library on January 17th, 2009. The workshop will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There is a fee of five dollars and pre-registration is required. Ms. Taylor holds a Master in Information Studies degree from Atlanta University and is Head of Reference at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, with many years of experience as an archivist, librarian, researcher, and public speaker. In 2008, she provided research for the PBS special, African American Lives 2. Her new book, Researching African-American Genealogy in Alabama: a Resource Guide will be available for purchase at the workshop.
