Your success story is a great example of working the resources by connecting the paper trail & DNA "dots". Your example and the methodology used also demonstrates that there is no "magic bullet" in connecting our matches on 23andme, FTDNA and now Ancestry. There needs to be a sufficient paper trail by us, and others, along with a working knowledge of autosomal DNA and how these 'cousin' matches occur.

BTW, I understand you also tested with Ancestry.com. as I recently did. We, you and I, show as matches on 23andme RF, but as yet not on the Ancestry list of matches. Any idea why not? We can discuss the reasons off-line if you prefer. Perhaps we too will soon be able to make those paper trail connections.
