Many thanks for explaining this. I have yet another perspective on the subject... one or the other of these companies has stated that it can tell you WHICH tribe in Africa you came from (don't ask me which company right at this moment, but I have seen it somewhere). I was under the impression that a certain size of "sample" of people tested was needed in order to find "markers" common to that group to tell you anything. How many of these tribes have had enough people tested yet to come up with the correct size "sample" for the "markers" to even be valid? ONE DAY this technology will probably be a standard procedure in genealogy, but........
