In addition to what Art provided; if you want to go further on the y-DNA, 23andMe doesn't test any SNPs and so to find other males with this Haplogroup that match your grandson just on the Y-chromosome, you may need to test him the Family Tree DNA through the Hayes surname project. Autosomal DNA provides information on inheritance from the maternal and paternal lines back several generations. SNP testing via the Y-DNA is from strictly male line inheritance. When you look at the results list in 23andMe RF; you may see another male with the same Haplogroup but it doesn't mean your grandson shares the same direct paternal lineage--so for SNP testing this won't help.
