Hey Cuz!
So eloquently said!!! How do we begin to undo the psychological effects of chattel slavery?? How can we make our folk see that "we" African-Americans generally have an identity problem...and that some of the mentality that we have is a byproduct of the things cleverly programmed into us through the inhumane, cruel institution of chattel slavery? How can we got our people to be more unified? How can we get our people to stop alienating each other, while uplifting the "other"? How can we stop this "self-hate"? How can we make our folk see that one of the reasons we were kept illiterate is because a knowledge of WHO WE ARE would be like pouring gas into the flame of constructive mental development.

I know these are a lot of questions, and there are really no concrete answers, but we must start to think along these lines of saving our people (in this country) if we are going to survive...if the future will be brighter for our people. It is just me, or are we in the process of exterminating ourselves, all while others wish to continue to exterminate us? Sometimes I think we are dealing with a double-edge sword. We need to tackle these issues we have in our own community at the core!
