Re: NEW YORK TIMES DNA ARTICLE
In Response To: NEW YORK TIMES DNA ARTICLE ()

Am I the only one who is simply disgusted by this whole thing? To think that white folks are now claiming to be black so they can get preferrential treatment with school loans, college admission, etc., based on a DNA test that shows that they have some African DNA.

I was afraid that these tests would start being used like this. Suddenly everyone want to be a n***er, but nobody wants to be a n****er. And for the NY Times to play it up with all the graphics and hoopla is even more disgusting ... giving their tacet approval to this practice. Ultimately, programs intended to help traditionally underrepresented groups will be so bastardized by whites "pretending" to be black that we'll be left out, once again.

It sickens me. This whole topic sickens me to no end.
