I did a mtDNA test through Family Tree DNA. They do not have many Africans in their database. Is there any way to transfer testing results to African Ancestry without retesting? I found this link as my father's mtDNA results were seven matches for the Bubi of Bioko, three matches for Fulbe (Fulani), two matches for Mandara, Tali, Tupuri, and Fali; and one match for Ewondo and Chadic. Maybe I am reading these results wrong but it is an awful small sample of matches. I can conclude that my father's maternal ancestry is Cameron/Equitorial Guinea!! So, that's a start!
