I just received results from African Ancestry and learned that the my father's maternal ancestry was a match to the Tikar people of Cameroon. However like Everton I was initially surprised since my father is of jamaican desent> I had assumed that those taken to the British west Indies had come primarily from Nigeria. Everton than you for your research that clariifed that the Tikar indeed could have been brought through Nigeria prior to being shipped to the West Indies.
