Last weekend, I attended the annual Family Reunion Conference in Atlanta and one of the workshop presenters was Gina Paige, President of African Ancestry. Following the workshop, I chatted with her telling her I had my mtDNA results (tested by another company) and asked if I provided those results could African Ancestry check them against their database to help me determine the African lineage of my maternal ancestor. She said that was possible and preferred that my DNA sequence be sent electronically.

After I returned home from the conference, I forwarded an e-mail with my DNA sequence and mailed a check to cover the fee. I don't want to state the amount of the fee as I don't feel it is my place to do so. But I would image if anyone else wishes to have their DNA sequence (that was provided by another company) analyzed against the African Ancestry database, they would be open to doing do. Gina indicated I should have my results in 2 to 4 weeks.
