I just got my results back from National Geographic. I told me that I was from Haplogroup L3. The it told me that my mtDNA differ at
Then it said that a single person of the L lineage gave rise to the M and N haplogroups some 80,000 years ago.
Then all Eurasian mtDNA lineages are subsequently descended from these two groups.
Does that mean I an not African-American and that I am Eurasian instead.
I always believed that I was Creole which included recent African American roots.
Can someone help me understand this info. I tried NG but I have not received an answer yet.
