Thanks for providing some great insight! Actually, I never thought about what you expressed, but yes, it would be very awesome if we not only gained knowledge concerning our African roots, but also connect to other African-Americans who've been tested and who are related based on those tests. Thanks to Brother Art, I've become increasingly curious about markers and what specific information they reveal. Also, Dr. Gates's DNA adventure on "African-American Lives", to try to prove or disprove his family's connection to the white father of his ancestor's children, revealed to me that a certain number of identical markers would prove a genetic connection between two individuals. Maybe this could be a future project for African Ancestry - to offer more markers (at least 25 it appears) so that African-Americans can connect with lost kin who share ancestors who were displaced by the Maafa (Middle Passage) and by American slavery. You are absolutely right - this is very important.
