Angela - I am tryin' to figure out what in our responses was so disappointing??? Both of us basically expressed the desire for specifics concerning African ancestry. Wouldn't everyone like to know some deep details rather than general information?????
Historian, you said - "Some of these non-Blacks are the ones who are digging up the information literally so that you can know about where your ancestors came from."
Since we've leapfrogged from African DNA to non-black researchers, I will offer this brief comment concerning this statement. I don't doubt that there are non-black researchers interested in African history. But your disappointing response insinuates that they are the only ones from which we are truly learning. This is terribly false. Historically, non-black researchers have been the ones who have re-written history to support their own agendas. That is fact. I am sure you know that many Non-black researchers have claimed that ancient Kemites (ancient Egytians) were dark-skinned people of European descent, ignoring the myriad of obvious clues that they were black-skinned people of African descent. Why do you think there are pyramids in Nigeria AND Egypt.
