Of the cases of interracial "relations" that occurred between white enslavers and enslaved Africans, there are likely VERY few cases in which these "relations" was actually centered around love. It will probably be like trying to find a "needle in a haystack". The Thomas Jefferson/Sally Hemmings Case just may have been one of those "needles". In my own family history, my having an European Y-chromosome was simply because the enslaver of my great-great grandmother used her for his sexual gratification that resulted in the birth of 6 children. Therefore, I have no desire to claim this enslaver's heritage as my own. When I read the history of this enslaver and his family, written by one of his white descendants, they did not mention my great-great grandmother and her children as part of "their history".
