Yes, that is the most likely scenario. But the only IF is that you really have no way of knowing WHEN that European Y-chromosome came into your male lineage.
While unlikely, it is "possible" that an African came to America carrying a European Y-chromosome. You cannot tell by what people look like. I remind people of the Lemba in South Africa who carry the Jewish Cohanim Y-chromosome, the lineage of the Jewish priests, descended from Aaron, brother of Moses.
They are nowhere near Israel, but all the way down in South Africa. And their oral history supports the science. Or rather, science supports their oral history.
