I'm so glad to see others that have the same Tikar lineage and are as excited about the knowledge as I am. It means my children will know where they came from. That is huge!!! On my fathers side we are descended from the Balanta tribe of Guinea Bissau. I hope to visit both Cameroon and Guinea Bissau one day. I found an interesting blog at Trip Down Memory Lane. Lots of interesting information but nothing on the Balanta and only a short reference to the Tikar in a lengthy piece about the Bamileke. I will keep searching for info
