Thanks for the info. You have a very interesting name. I see you have mentiones SC NC Lumbee do you have family members that are tribal?. My fathers side of the family has Native American ancestry. Seminole and Catawba from North and South Carolina. He had a DNA test performed by DNA tribes and he too had matches with the Lumbees. He was also tested by The National Genographics project and was assigned haplogroup RIB and he is African American. I also tested with The National Genographic project some 8 years ago and was assigned haplogroup L3f. Since then new sub groups have emerged. According to Cern'ys study performed in 2009 haplogroup L3f2 has been defined by the highly recurrent control region variant 16311. I have this variant. I have 4 other matches some of which are in the Carribean. Yes this haplogroup is very old and I am an American. I am sure if others were to be tested I am sure others may have this haplogroup as well.
