Hi Art
It is GOOD to know therefore what you have determined as your EU match percents.. A friend who works closely with 23andme this morning told me that it is common for grandparents to share different amounts and that mine is not the MOST extreme she has seen..Someone else's was 35% Grandfather and 15% grandmother. Since Tevin's maternal Grandfather,my ex, was of Swiss origins it seems to have little to do with population. She also told me that because it is my daughter's son that this is her thought: "paternal usually means fewer but longer segments as compared to maternal relationships" It has not so much I guess to do with his paternal ancestors either.. So I am learning a lot.. that's what it is all about, isn't it?
