I have to agree with Aaronb80 in reading about the various companies and what they 'promise' to deliver prior to testing with any of them.

Over the years, since 2005, I have used FTDNA, AncestryByDNA and 23andme. The results have been the same for haplogroups, Y-DNA & mtDNA and and pretty consistent in their numbers (%'s) for admixture, or autosomal DNA.

If your paper trail strongly suggests a European male in your direct paternal ancestry I would use either FTDNA or 23andme and like Aaronb80, if lineage is your main focus over health issues I would recommend FTDNA.
