On 23andme, I recently came with a match up of .58% over 3 segments with a predicted match of 3rd cousins. This is the issue: My family has been in Mississippi since the mid 1800's and during the Civil War. I have the documentation. Though on this paternal line the oral history says that the family came from Virginia. I have no documentation to support this., yet. This matched person has is from and has ancestry from NC & VA. Has anyone ever come across anything like this in their DNA research? If so, how did you approach this issue with documentation? Thanks
