Re: Trying to understand results ^>^

Question #2. Have been reading, reading, reading in several places. Not sure if I am understanding this, but THOUGHT I read that the X and Y chroms are basically for deep ancestral geographic determination thru the haplogroups, and don't really mean much otherwise. The other chroms are the ones that tell you who you are. If this is indeed the case, what is the big deal in finding out what my Dad's haplogroup is, except my curiosity ? His others have already been checked in my autosome test.

This just doesn't sound right, but it sounds like what I thought I read. Maybe these old eyes just need a rest, or the brain is overloaded (or both). lol

Question #3. If I can talk this nephew into taking the YDNA test, is there a way to hook up some of the test results to me, or would I simply write it in somewhere in my profile ?
