My paternal lineage is Bubi of Equatorial Guinea, of which Bioko is a part. Mine was not specific to Bioko, but I believe that is where the majority of the Bubi live. Now you need to watch the British Documentary, "Motherland: A Genetic Journey," which is where I first heard of Bioko and the Bubi. One of the three people featured is a woman whose maternal lineage is Bubi. She is an exact match to 8 people in the test group, and she gets to go to Bioko and meet them. Their original testing was blind, so they didn't know who the 8 people were that she matched. So they retested the people to find her matches, since these 8 are actually her relatives, not just the same "tribe." toot
