Diedre: From what I can remember from previous readings.//the _Bubi_ stole away to the Bioko Islands under cover of darkness,...after secretly building & securely hiding the sea-worthy canoes from the bantu enslvavers the Fang. They supposedly stole away in small discrete batches as to avoid detection from the captors. Supposedly,...they were able to see the Bioko Islands offshore (if ever so faintly),...from the location of enslavement;....I'm assuming that to be the Rio Muni sector of what is now Equatorial Guinea?
