Re: African Ancestry results vs Halogroup

Hello Osi,

I would recommend testing with either Family Tree DNA or National Genographic, so that you can learn your Haplogroup type. I have tested with all three companies in fact --- including African Ancestry and am pleased with what I have received from each. I have found having the Haplogroup info along with the markers to be useful, because I have been able to put that information into the Mitosearch database, and I have found high resolution matches with 3 other women, and we have exact matches, suggesting that we are cousins within the past 10 generations or so.

The DNA with African Ancestry has pointed to the Yoruba of Nigeria.

I have been pleased with all info that I have seen.
