Re: Kru People

Hello Toot,

That's great news, congratulations, you're "getting it done" :).

From your last response to me you were suggesting that I look into the lines of various relatives to get around my dilemma.

A question or two. For your mother's paternal line who was tested?
Would you have tested a brother of your mother? A Nephew? I know it would be a male descendant of your mother's father...right?

My situation for

Y-DNA: My father is deceased, his only brother died before him and had no children. I had a half-brother (deceased), we had the same father. He (half-brother) has living sons, grandsons and even great-grandsons. Would testing them solidify/confirm my Y-DNA results?

mtDNA: My mother, like me, was an only child. Her mother, my grandmother had a sister (same parents), and the sister has several living female descendants. Would testing them help with my mtDNA situation?

Also, would you suggest my being tested by one of those agencies that give %'s of mixtures?

Thanks again for all your help,

Art Thomas
