I submitted Y-DNA tests* for a friend and got his results from African Ancestry yesterday.

He has two matches, one of which is with the Bubi people in Bioko Island.

His 2nd match is to the Mbundu people in Angola.

Quoting the cover letter: "While these groups may differ socially and culturally, there are people within them who share common genetic ancestry."

*My test strategy is to first test with the National Genographic project to get a haplogroup (He is E3a) and 12 markers, then send their result to African Ancestry to get a "tribal" result.
