I just found out yesterday that my DNA matches Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone. Today I have been reading about the region and feel the same type of sadness you felt when you read about them. As I read, I thought about how my life might be so different if my maternal African ancestor had not been enslaved. Today as I have been going about daily things, I keep thinking about the Africans whose DNA match mine and the environment in which they are now living. Somehow now all of the things I have been upset about (house renovations, car problems, etc.) recently don't seem like such a big deal. Did you adopt a child in Guinea-Bissau yet?
