Thanks Sherry,

I am hoping that they will come around becuse they know the truth as we do. We don't want anything from them. Just trying to find out where we came from. Because of slavery, we can't find out about our African Heritage either. Before 1870, we have no names and I can't find out who my gr grandfather's mother was.

So far we have not found any records on Silas' mother. We don't know if there are sibllngs other than a brother that one of my new cousin's found accidently, which was great for me. I noe have his family in my genealogy tree. But I will keep on digging. One of the persons who put their WEST family tree on was asked by a friend of mine who is white to help me and she told me to go the Raleigh and look it up myself. You know what, I will go to Raleigh and look it up if I have to.
I do have some nice genealogy friends who don't mind helping me. Thank God for them. They are not like that. The percentage of those who have helped is greater than the percentage that will not help me.
Thank you for writing me. I appreciate your opinion.
